lighting test

This was from a lighting test I did today. I'm still thinking about exactly where I want to take it. I shot both digital and film so I'll probably hold out for the film before I come to any conclusions on it. The shoot was super fast though. Maybe 3 hours tops. I've been trying lately to simplify the beauty process or extract the detailed bits that are the most important. I think as of today though, I've pretty much finished with experimenting with this white background beauty lighting. I got it. I'd like to move on and maybe do more full body, or throw some fashion back into the mix.

Oh, and surprisingly, this is shot with tungston lights. Handheld. (So it's not so perfectly sharp when you look at it closely). But works so nicely that I will keep it in mind for the future. For sure.
